The Home Office Deduction 2020 In Time Of Corona Virus

 

I've noticed that in the many articles and webinars that discuss working from home, there's been little mention of the removal, for most taxpayers, of the IRS home office deduction in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. I'm guessing that, if WFH becomes the norm post-COVID, there will be significant interest in restoring this benefit. I believe it would be in the interest of both home workers and their employers.
